About Karen

Currently an Assistant District Attorney in Travis County, Karen has almost two decades of legal experience as a state and federal prosecutor, civil litigation attorney, professor, and federal judicial clerk. During her career, she has served as an Assistant United States Attorney and mayor's counsel. Married with two children, Karen also teaches the Ethics of Criminal Law at the University of Texas. About the 299th

The 299th District Court is a criminal felony court that spans Travis County. The court hears the most serious of cases including murder, sexual assault, and robbery.
